Medic, FET Airman recalls horrors, triumphs of Afghanistan
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Karley Karlson, Zabul Provincial Reconstruction Team medic and Female Engagement Team member, pulls security at a FET event in Qalat City, Zabul Province, Afghanistan, Feb. 19, 2013. Karlson deployed from the 366th Surgical Operations Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and her primary job while deployed was to gather information, communicate and assist women with Afghan female-related issues, and she also executed her primary skillset of a medic in the PRT clinic.
