Dyess Airmen consolidate, save

Airman 1st Class Raylan Marcontell, left, and Airman 1st Class Amir Wallace, right, 7th Operations Support Squadron assemble aircrew equipment lockers Jan. 31, 2013, as part of an aircrew flight equipment consolidation project at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Airmen from the 7th OSS consolidated more than 280 aircrew equipment lockers into one facility as part of a consolidation project. The project brought the oxygen section and flightline section of aircrew flight equipment into one facility. Contractors projected that the consolidation would cost the Air Force between $15,000 and $20,000, but 7th OSS Airmen completed the job for much less. Thanks to the large number of Airmen who volunteered to help, the project was completed in under a week. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Damon Kasberg/ Released)
