Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element Transfer of Authority Ceremony

U.S. Army Capt. Mercedes Gonzalez, 228th Combat Support Hospital company commander, thanks the 228th CSH for all their hard work throughout their tenure as Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element during the MEDEL Transfer of Authority Ceremony on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Oct. 31, 2014. Over the past two weeks the 228th CSH prepared the 94th CSH to take over their U.S. Southern Command mission. The JTF-B MEDEL is the only forward deployed medical asset with and enduring presence within SOUTHCOM. MEDEL provides medical support to DoD beneficiaries in garrison at Soto Cano AB, as well as supporting SOUTHCOM’s humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
