CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT ALEXANDER P. DEL VALLE

Chief Master Sergeant Alexander P. del Valle is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. He is responsible for all matters regarding the health, welfare, morale, and effective utilization of 14,051 enlisted personnel. In this role he is the primary communications link between the Commander and the enlisted force. Twelfth Air Force ensures the readiness of seven active duty wings and one direct reporting unit for contingency operations, and oversees 14 gained Air Reserve Component units totaling more than 609 aircraft and 40,053 Airmen. As the air and space component to U.S. Southern Command, Air Forces Southern conducts security cooperation and provides air, space and cyberspace capabilities throughout the 31 nations of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Chief del Valle joined the United States Air Force in October 1989 and graduated Air Traffic Control (ATC) technical training at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), Miss., in March 1990. His functional background includes air traffic control tower and radar approach control (RAPCON) operations as well as deployed mobile TPN-19 and TSW-7 ATC facilities. He has deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel.

 

Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base,

Republic of Korea.
