MS. DILIANA HERNÁNDEZ

Ms. Diliana Hernández, Foreign Affairs Specialist, Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona, currently serves as the Foreign Liaison Officer Program Manager and Desk Officer for the Central American Region. Ms. Hernández manages the program for the Twelfth Air Force Foreign Liaison Officers from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, who serve as direct liaisons between their respective countries and the Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern) Commander. She also manages a portfolio of three countries, planning and executing Twelfth Air Force security cooperation events in the Central American Region.

Prior to this position, Ms. Hernández was the Chief of Protocol for the Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, where she was responsible for managing the protocol office and providing guidance for excellence in protocol, decorum, customs and courtesies for a war fighting headquarters to include main and forward operating locations with senior military visitors from all military branches of the United States and partner nations from the SOUTHCOM AOR in the Caribbean, Central and South America, as well as, four-star level and above officials and foreign military services, senior civilian dignitaries, members of Congress and Congressional staff delegates, distinguished members of state and local governments, business organizations and Civic Leaders.

Ms. Hernández is a 2003 AFROTC distinguished graduate of the University of West Florida. She served as an officer and separated as a Captain from the United States Air Force in 2008. When she was active duty, Ms. Hernández deployed in support of Operations, IRAQI FREEDOM, and ENDURING FREEDOM. Ms. Hernández worked for the System of Cooperation Among the American Air Forces (SICOFAA) as a Protocol Officer and Editor.
