Lieutenant General HUGO EDUARDO SCHAUB

Brigadier Major (Lt Gen) D. Hugo Eduardo SCHAUB was born on the 17th of march, 1963, in Capital Federal, Argentina.


In February, 1980, he entered the Military Aviation School in Córdoba province. In December 1984, he graduated as Commando Officer.


In 1985 Gen Schaub was assigned to the Second Air Brigade in Paraná, Entre Ríos province, where he completed the Aerial Reconnaissance Training Course for officers. He graduated #1 in his class and was appointed as Chief of the Photography Planning Division.


In 1991, he was assigned to the 2nd Intelligence Office in Buenos Aires, where he became an Intelligence Officer and Chief of The Imagery Intelligence Division until 1998.


In 1999, Gen Schaub attended the Command and Staff Course and the Upper Staff Course in the Argentine Air Force War College.

In 2001, he became Chief of The Strategic Scenario Division in The Joint Staff of The Argentine Armed Forces, which is part of the Intelligence Directorate for Defense.

In 2004, Gen Schaub became Chief of the General Military Area and Counselor to the Basic Leadership Course.

In 2006, he was assigned to the US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, where he spent two years as the Spanish advisor for the Department of Foreign Languages.

In 2008, Gen Schaub returned to the General Intelligence Directorate in Argentina.

In 2011, he was assigned to the IX Air Brigade of Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut province. He spent two years as the Chief of the Base 9 Group.

In 2013, Gen Schaub returned to Buenos Aires province and became Chief of Staff In the Deputy Office of General Staff.

In 2015, he was appointed as Director of the Military Aviation School in Rosario, Santa Fé province.

In 2016, Gen Schaub became Director of Intelligence of the Argentine Air Force in Buenos Aires province.

In 2020, he was appointed DEPUTY CHIEF OF THE GENERAL STAFF OF THE ARGENTINE AIR FORCE, an office he currently holds.
