Goldfein toured Creech for an in-depth look at the Remotely Piloted Aircraft enterprise and the many Airmen who work around the clock to assure mission success Jan. 9, 2017.   • Helping Haiti’s Children: 315th Delivers Buses to Haitian School Org

    A two-pronged mission over a weekend in December not only helped to keep 315th Airlift Wing aircrews current on all their certifications, but also delivered three badly-needed buses to schools in Haiti. Citizen Airmen of Joint Base Charleston’s 317th Airlift Squadron, with support from three additional Citizen Airmen of the 514th Air Mobility Wing from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, transported the school buses in a C-17 aircraft from Charleston to Port-au-Prince, where they were offloaded at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, December 16, 2017.

  • AFSOUTH hosts Latin American Cadet Initiative

    Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern) hosted 24 cadets from 12 Latin American countries for their a visit on behalf of the Latin American Cadet Initiative, Nov. 7. The Latin American Cadet Initiative is an Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs program that began in 2006. The program invites the top two senior cadets from up to 15 Latin American Air Force academies to the U.S. for a three and a half week visit.
  • South American Air Chiefs conference 2017

    Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern) hosted the South American Air Chiefs conference with participants from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. The seven South American countries participated in the three day event that focused on humanitarian assistance and disaster response. “We’ve found that this is an area where our air forces can really cooperate,” said U.S. Air Force Col. James Breck, 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern) director of plans. We’re able to work together, share ideas, share best practices, and synchronize our efforts during this conference.”
