12th Air Force commander visits team Dyess Published July 10, 2012 By Staff Sgt. Richard P. Ebensberger 7th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Dyess Air Force Base, Texas -- 12th Air Force commander Lt. Gen. Robin Rand, visited Team Dyess, July 2, 2012, where he toured several base facilities and spoke with Airman. During his visit, Rand had lunch with students from the First Term Airman Center, met with the Dyess Honor Guard and toured both the 9th Bomb Squadron Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the weapons load crew training facility, where he recognized Airmen for their hard work and dedication. Rand was also the presiding official over the 7th Bomb Wing change of command ceremony held July 3, 2012, in which Col. Glen VanHerck assumed command from Col. David Béen. "I want to thank you for your service and what you do for our Air Force and our country," Rand said. "I also want to thank your families; I appreciate what they do for us and what they do for you."
