Unmanned QF-16 takes flight at Holloman
An unmanned QF-16 aircraft prepares to participate in a graduation exercise at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., May 14. The graduation exercise tests the aircraft’s capabilities and connectivity to the White Sands Test System at White Sands Missile Range. The unmanned QF-16’s were converted to remotely piloted aircraft from retired F-16 Fighting Falcons. This is the second unmanned QF-16 to launch in history and the first to launch at Holloman AFB.
