More than 100 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo spent Saturday evening participating in a holiday gift wrapping party here, Nov. 30. Volunteers spent more than two hours wrapping gifts that will be given to children from local orphanages.

The gift wrapping party was in preparation for Joint Task Force-Bravo's upcoming Operation Holiday Blessing, which will be held Dec. 6. During this event, the Task Force will host more than 300 orphans at a holiday celebration that will include activities, food, gifts, and tree lighting.

Volunteers at the gift wrapping party attacked a mountain of more than 300 gifts, all of which were donated by Joint Task Force-Bravo personnel.

"The response to this has just been overwhelming," said U.S. Air Force Capt. Jeff McMillen, Joint Task Force-Bravo Chaplain and the individual overseeing coordination for Operation Holiday Blessing. "The Joint Task Force-Bravo members are some of the most generous people I have ever met. They gave out of their love for these kids, many of whom they have built relationships with over their months serving here. We have more than enough gifts to ensure these children will receive not just one or two gifts, but several presents. The generosity has just been amazing."

Joint Task Force-Bravo members who donated gifts and participated in the gift wrapping said being able to provide holiday joy to the children is its own reward.

"I'm very grateful I have this opportunity," said U.S. Air Force Capt. Neil Ocampo, Joint Task Force-Bravo J1 Director. "It's special to be able to provide some happiness for these children."
