New Horizons' surgeons give Belizean boy a helping hand
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Andrew Casey, operating room technician from Wilford Hall Medical Center, Texas, picks up a surgical tool while a syndactyly surgery is performed during a surgery medical readiness training exercise at Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk, Belize, May 2, 2013. Syndactyly is a condition where the digits of the hand or foot are fused or webbed together. Military medical professionals from the U.S. are providing free medical treatment at multiple medical readiness training exercises throughout Belize as part of an exercise known as New Horizons.
