New Horizons 2013 Opening Ceremonies

Vinai Thummalapally, U.S. ambassador to Belize, and Patrick Faber, Belize minister of education, youth and sports, cut the ribbon during the New Horizons 2013 opening ceremony March 25, 2013, at Ladyville Technical High School. New Horizons is an exercise led by U.S. Southern Command that provides medical and dental treatment as well as constructs school structures throughout Belize. It gives U.S., Belizean and Canadian service members the opportunity to train side-by-side in an exercise setting, in order to be prepared to meet future challenges when and where needed.
