Crew members of one of two C-130 Hercules from the Texas Air National Guard, 136th Airlift Wing were treated to uniquely Chilean scenery while carrying cargo between the cities of Santiago, Puerto Montt and Balmaceda, Chile. Fields of ice and snow covered volcanoes covered the souther route to Balmaceda, Chile, during a SICOFAA exercise, (Sistema de cooperacion de las Fuerzas Aerias de las Americas) Cooperation 1 headquartered in Puerto Montt, Chile, Oct. 4 to 14. The exercise scenario involved using the air forces of SICOFAA member nations for humanitarian assistance after a natural disaster (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Rebecca A. Garcia).
