EMEDS and Chile
The expeditionary medical hospital intensive care unit is cleaned by Airmen to prepare for patients March 13, 2010, in Angol Chile. The EMEDS staff and members of the Chilean army built the hospital to help augment medical services for nearly 110,000 Chileans in the region. In addition to the ICU, the EMEDS team is also equipped and staffed to provide surgical, primary care, pediatric, radiological, gynecological, laboratory and pharmaceutical.
