Hurricane Felix relief
PUERTO CABEZAS, Nicaragua – Spc. Lucas Gomez hands a box of food to a local man here Sept. 15. Specialist Gomez is part of the 1-228th Aviation Battalion deployed to Nicaragua from Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras, to provide relief after Hurricane Felix. The U.S. State Department and Department of Defense are working together to bring food, water and other needed items to small communities on the Nicaraguan coast that were affected by the hurricane.
