Operation Southern Partner

A Search and Rescue team from the 48th Rescue Squadron, Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., part a team known as the Guardian Angel Weapons System or GAWS, jump along side of Chilean airman from the back of a C-17 Globemaster III over Iquique Air Base, Chile during Operation Southern Partner, Oct., 30. The aircraft is assigned to the 535th Airlift Squadron, Hickam AFB, Hawaii.
