Airmen, Chilean school 'partner' to teach children aviation
Maj. Jason Couisine, the Air Force section chief at the U.S. Military Group in Chile, assists a group of students at the Complejo Educacional Esperanza School in Santiago, Chile, during a community outreach event on Oct. 27. The model airplane kits were donated by a Silicon Valley technology company for use with Operation Southern Partner, an Air Forces Southern-led exchange aimed at providing intensive, periodic subject matter exchanges with partner nations in the U.S. Southern Command area of focus. Included in the exchange is visits like this one where Airmen partnered with local U.S. Embassy volunteers, Chilean air force officers, members of the U.S. Military Group and volunteers from Agilent Technologies to teach children about the practical applications of the sciences.
