New Horizons - Peru 2008
U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Edna Falu Escalera leads school children in a song at the I.E. Inicial CRL. Miguel Peñarrieta Elementary School in Ayuacucho, Peru, during a speech therapy session, Aug. 15. Lieutenant Falu Escalera is deployed to Task Force New Horizons, and has volunteered her time as a children's speech therapist to help improve the speech of children at the Peruvian Army base camp school. Servicemembers are deployed to Ayacucho, Peru to support New Horizons - Peru 2008, a U.S. and Peruvian partnered effort to bring quality-of-life construction projects and medical missions to improverished Peruvians.
