USFOL volunteers at Goslinga School
Eight volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operating Location went to Goslinga School to help teach English and judge student projects in Willemstad, Curacao, May 13, 2014. The USFOL has an informal, volunteer partnership with the school to support periodic recreational activities that assist the faculty in reinforcing healthy life styles and choices. In addition to assisting over 80 students with their English vocabulary, USFOL volunteers engaged with students, sharing life experiences and cultural information. This informal volunteer partnership with the school’s teachers helps students reach their goals and learn English while having a great time. Volunteers from the USFOL often donate time and resources to various areas and programs on the island in order to express appreciation for the wonderful hospitality received from the citizens of Curacao.
