Dyess, area fire departments work together to suppress 3-day Camp Barkeley fire

The Dyess Air Force Base Fire Department and other Big Country fire departments joined forces to contain a 1,600 acre wildfire April 27, 2014, at Camp Barkeley near Buffalo Gap, Texas. Dyess fire crews arrived on scene in about 45 minutes with two brush trucks. Camp Barkeley is located approximately 15 miles south of Dyess AFB. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
