Deployed AWACS squadron flies 4,000th combat sortie

U.S. Air Force Capt. Christopher K. Jordan, 968th Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron E-3/B Sentry pilot, scans the horizon while flying a combat sortie in support of Afghanistan Presidential Elections, April 4, 2014, over Afghanistan. The crew of the E-3/B flew the sortie marking the 968th EAACS's 4,000th combat sortie, since March 2007, when the squadron began combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom.
