Brazilian students visit D-M
Graduate and doctoral engineering students from Brazil discuss the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile with Tech. Sgt. Loraine Goody, a load standardization crew member assigned to the 355th Maintenance Operations Squadron, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, July 24. The students were in Tucson, Ariz., visiting the nearby Raytheon Company as part of Brazil’s Science Without Borders program and requested the opportunity to visit D-M. The Sidewinder is a supersonic, heat-seeking, air-to-air missile carried by fighter aircraft. It has a high-explosive warhead and an infrared heat-seeking guidance system. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt.
