Curucao unit hosts local children
More than 100 children and staff from 11 different partner organizations were invited for an exclusive “Kid’s Day” tour of the U.S. Forward Operating Location (US FOL) in Curacao March 10, 2015. The participants were given a close view at the FOL’s capabilities in aircraft rescue and fire prevention, aircraft maintenance and sustainment, and airport safety and security. This event was a combined effort involving 33 volunteer staff from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and the HATO International Airport. The U.S. FOL’s continued partnership with local organizations demonstrates their eagerness for community involvement and their long standing appreciation for the hospitality received from the citizens of Curacao.
