Marking 75 Years of 12 Air Force: Post World War II thru the Cold War

Twelfth Air Force was headquartered at James Connally Air Force Base, in Waco, Texas, from 1958 to 1968. 12th Air Force was placed under Tactical Air Command while stationing the organizational headquarters at James Connally AFB. The Numbered Air Force moved without bringing personnel or equipment from Europe and stood up absorbing the personnel and equipment of the newly inactivated 18th Air Force.
