Marking 75 Years of 12 Air Force: Post World War II thru the Cold War

A P-80A Shooting Star from the 94th Fighter Squadron, 1st Fighter Group, 12th Air Force asset, stationed at March Field Air Force Base, Calif., Jan. 1947 to June 1948 soars in the sky. Twelfth Air Force was activated at March AFB assigned to the newly established Tactical Air Command as a training command May 17, 1946.
