New Horizons Training Exercise Guyana 2019 closing ceremony

Guyana Defence Force Brig. Patrick West, chief of staff and U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Andrew Croft, Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern) commander, pose for a photo with a ceremonial key during a ceremony signifying the conclusion of operations at Camp Seweyo and the handover of newly constructed facilities on a Guyana Defence Force camp near Linden, Guyana, Aug. 22, 2019. The new facilities were constructed by the U.S. military and housed U.S. service members that participated in New Horizons exercise. The New Horizons exercise 2019 provided U.S. military members an opportunity to train for an overseas deployment and the logistical requirements it entails. The exercise promoted bilateral cooperation by providing opportunities for U.S. and partner nation military engineers, medical personnel and support staff to work and train side by side.
